Not long ago I did a poll on my personal Facebook wall.  My "super awesome" poll responders said most people want to know what their own experience is going to be like when looking at a photographers website. Well, I haven't, and can't, view myself from a client's perspective.

Enter me choosing a long time client and a new client, and asking them if they would answer the question for us.  Both of them sweetly said yes and were able to send me their messages right away.

"You are fun! You make my worries about the time of day/lighting, locale, outfit choice, kids' smiles or lack there of GO AWAY because you bring out the best in everyone and everything. I love that your only rule is that there are no rules. You let us bring our own seasonal props if we are feeling creative but are completely okay with us showing up empty handed too. Prior to the session you made yourself available through text and email so by the time we arrived I felt that we were coming to a friends studio to be photographed.

You were very confident and pleasantly efficient, moving us from silly shots to staged shots giving us great family moments captured on film. I especially loved the extra touches like a warm heater so the baby was never cold, building in extra time for baby care and feeding, and photographing the children first so they never got bored. We felt like we were your only clients in the world and never felt rushed.

Lets get to creating your experience.  We will work together on choosing the location that best matches your family, event or project.  From there, a simple questionnaire will help me get to know you and preferences, so that you can be sure the session and the photos will be as unique as you and your family or business.

The Booking Process


  • Reach out to me by phone or email.
  • We'll email or talk about any questions you have, schedules, location type, and kids routines to set the date and time.
  • You'll receive a questionnaire, invoice and contract with your confirmation email.
  • Pay your session fee in two payments online or by check. First half is due at booking and the 2nd half is due by the session date.
  • After reviewing the questionnaire we'll email or talk more about your session including any questions, tips, ideas and outfits.
