I have a new favorite image of Madison. It was taken at an impromptu family session with my mom and sisters family. We drove to a nice resort a few miles from my moms house and used a courtyard they have with a few water features. Other then Madison being the biggest pain in the bottom who did Not want her image to be captured. Blake took his turn giving me some grief too. Despite it all my little sister captured some great moments of the kids and I together, and we also got some fabulous shots of our mom with us girls, the kids with grandma, my sisters family & some individual shots of everyone.
But the highlight of it all is the shot of Madison. One of the hardest things for a photographer to capture in focus, especially with a narrow depth of field, is a subject in motion towards the camera. And kids are super fast! I was so delighted when I saw this image come up as I was processing our images. It is in great focus, good composition and it captures her not only in motion but her personality. YAY! It’s a huge win. I will be ordering a nice big canvas of this image sometime soon for our wall.
Oh, and look how both of her feet are off the ground.
